i started on my electives - malay 2day. arghs. its damn tough! simple greetings are fine wif me.. lyk selemat paji..but i cant speak in senetnces! =[ its so hard to understand how to form malay sentences. i guess those learning chinese wld oso hab a hard time doin e 'ping ying' LOLS

during e olden times, doctors usually dun operate on patients,they mearly just see the patients and prescribe their medicine.
during war,soldiers get injured and doctors were not the ones who attended to them.
it was the BARBERS!
coz doctors didnt cut [ as in cut any part of a human body ] but barbers cut the people's hair n therefore were sumhw preceived to have the skill to operate on humans! LOL.
its super weird how people thought abt stuff in e ancient times!
thus, e red n white stripes were e symbol of blood n bandages to recognise barbers effort in the war in the olden days! woohoo..
